The Library is open to the public: Monday 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, Tuesday 9:30 am – 4:00 pm, Wednesday 9:30 am – 1:30 pm, Thursday 9:30 am – 4:00 pm, Friday 9:30 am – 1:30 pm (upon reservation at biblioteca@fondazionecsc.it).
Consultation
The consulting room can accommodate up to a maximum of 22 people. The volumes are requested from the operators in charge by filling in specific forms (3 monographs/folders of press clippings/volumes of magazines for each request). Currently the users can consult the catalog, both through the internet and with three workstations.
Loan
The internal loan is granted to students, teachers, course assistants, professional officers and employees of the Foundation. For the external loan, the people interested must fill in a form prepared by the library, specifying personal data, motivation of the request and belonging to cultural institutes of various order and degree. In any case,
the following pubblication cannot be loaned: rare volumes, volumes published before the last ten years of which there are no re-editions, continuous works, typewritten scripts, loose-files and bound magazines, encyclopedias and vocabularies, non-books materials, newspapers clippings.
The sum to be paid by the applicant as security of the loan, however equal to the present value of the volume requested, will be determined from time to time by the Manager or the Head of the Sector and paid on the bank account registered to the “Fondazione Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia, Agenzia n. 33 Banca Nazionale del Lavoro”, IBAN Code: IT66J0100503397000000010000.
Reproductions
Photostatic reproduction can be made by the users using the equipment supplied with the Library, paying the unit price of 0.12 cents for each photocopy made. The service is carried out in compliance with current legislation on copyright (L. 248/2000): so within the 15% limits of each volume or periodical issues (excluding advertising pages), unless it’s a rare work that is not present into the editorial catalogs.
Valuable or badly preserved volumes cannot be photocopied; those scanned and recorded can be printed by the staff and paid by the applicants at the cost of a photocopy.
Furthermore screenplays and, in general, typewritten materials, cannot be photocopied, except to waivers requested for cultural purposes, to be assessed on the basis of current legislation on copyright.
