Ootb sets out in search of <\/span><i style=\"background-color: var(--bs-body-bg);color: var(--bs-body-color);font-family: var(--bs-body-font-family);font-size: var(--bs-body-font-size);font-weight: var(--bs-body-font-weight);text-align: var(--bs-body-text-align)\">stimuli <\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">mainly outside the reassuring \u201ccomfort zone\u201d in which cinema and television people usually hold their conversations. Over the course of one week on the Island of San Servolo (Venice), participants will meet leading figures from several different disciplines: from botanists to neurologists, from computer coders to museum curators, from composers to urban planners will engage in a meeting of minds on collective intelligence and the future of the moving image.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Designed by <\/span><b>Carlo Cresto-Dina<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Ootb has been developed and supported by <\/span><b>Fondazione Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> &#8211; <\/span><b>Scuola Nazionale di Cinema<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, in collaboration with<\/span> <b>Den Danske Filmskole<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, the National Film School of Denmark and <\/span><b>FAMU<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">the Film and TV School of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some of the international experts who will be part of the Ootb program will be Indian-American author <\/span><b>Vikram Chandra, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">neurologist and Professor<\/span><b> Hannah Critchlow<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (University of Cambridge), scientist and Professor <\/span><b>Stefano Mancuso<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (University of Florence), museum curator and Director <\/span><b>Frances Morris <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">(Tate Modern, London), composer <\/span><b>Lucia Ronchetti<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> (Director Music Department, La Biennale di Venezia). There is no age limit, but we would like to especially involve those who are approaching the audiovisual scene with fresh eyes and open perspectives. A committee nominated by the 3 participating schools will select 25 participants to OotB. Each participating school will sponsor 3 scholarships each for their graduates. The fee to attend Ootb is \u20ac 1,000 for students (proof of registration requested) and \u20ac 1,500 for professionals.
